Zen is beyond philosophy, religion or moral systems. It's about a vital attitude, a daily practice that invites us to assume life intensely, being aware of the present moment.

Zen goes back to the experience of Shakyamuni Buddha, when in meditation posture awaked to the immediate reality of life. Buddha means "The awakened one" and is referred to the inherent capacity of all human beings to wake up to our own true nature and to submerge in a total commitment with the life that is manifesting at each moment, beyond cultural restraints and conceptual filters by which we relate regularly..

Zen recovers the experience of Buddha and actualizes it in all our activities.

The foundation of Zen lies in the practice of seating meditation: Zazen Shikantaza

"A special transmission outside the scriptures;
No dependence upon words and letters;
Direct pointing to the heart of human being and seeing into one's own nature of Buddha

As school of Buddhism, zen follows the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha

and our Soto school, particularly the teachings of Eihei Dogen

THE FOUR SEALS OF EXISTENCE :

- All things are impermanent..

- All existence is chained to suffering.

- There is no unchanging, substantial self.

- "Nirvana is tranquility or quiescence".

Seating still, not doing anything. The back upright and breathing peacefully.

Dropping off everything that appears in mind, I am the bird singing far away without calling it a bird, I am the temperature of this moment without saying cold or hot.
