Since the origins of Buddhism until our days, the teachings have been transmitted in a direct way from teacher to disciple, form heart to heart. In order to assure the continuity of a pure transmission it is necessary to keep a direct link with a live teacher. |

She is a Zen priest and a Dharma successor in the lineage of Shohaku Okumura Roshi; began her practice in Bogotá, Colombia in 1989. She practiced with Dokusho Villalba at the Luz Serena temple, Spain from 1990-1992, then trained and practiced in Italy with Fausto Taiten Guareschi at Shobozan Fudenji from 1992-1997. In 1998-2004, she continued studying and practicing at San Francisco Zen Centernd (Tassajara Zen Mountain Center and City Center). In 2004 she started practicing at Sanshin Zen Community, then trained in Japan at the Aichi Senmon Nisodo from 2006-2007 and received the title of kaikyoshi by the Headquarters of the Soto Zen in Japan in 2007. She is the Head Teacher of the Colombia Soto Zen Community in Bogota, the MuShin Zendo in Medellin, and the Buddha Soto Zen in Hialeah, Florida. She is member of San Francisco Zen Center, The Soto Zen Budhist Association and the America Zen Teachers Association. |
