On Sunday June 27th, 2010, we celebrated de priest ordination ceremony of Mario Dairen Jacome, Ino of Daishin Temple in Bogota, and Luis Jiren Ramirez, director of Mushin Temple in Medellín. This is the first official ordination of two Soto Zen monks given by Rev. Shotai de la Rosa, head priest of Daishin Temple, in Colombian land. To bring to our country the teachings of the Soto school founded by Dogen Zenji, to create a Dharma instant for the benefit of all beings, to produce the conditions for the formal practice to continue spreading, respecting our tradition and lineage, are the vows of the Colombian Soto Zen Community.
